How myBeOne Support assists patients

Cancer impacts the well-being of a person’s body, mind, finances, and much more. And proper patient support should do the same.

When a patient called about a medical bill that was beyond their financial means and their fear of not being able to continue receiving care and creating a financial burden on the family, we knew something needed to be done right away.

For financial support, we were able to connect them to an independent foundation.

But it was apparent to us that the patient was also in urgent need of emotional support. We provided the patient with information on Cancer Support Community, a support group focused on the mental well-being of cancer patients, and followed up with the organization in a referral email as well.

This patient’s native language was Spanish, and so they were having difficulty articulating in English. We quickly brought in a Spanish-speaking interpreter to facilitate the conversation. [myBeOne Support] utilizes a language line service that covers over 150 languages to ensure the quality of our support
for all patients.
